Bonga Cams is one of the premier sites for camming worldwide. Based in Europe, this cam site was founded in 2012; as of 2015, it was in Alexa’s Top 100 Most-Visited sites worldwide. In 2017, it won eight adult website awards, including Company of the Year, and was nominated for seven.
When you first get on Bonga Cams, you’re immediately greeted by naked models (mostly women), streaming live, free content. There are a wealth of options for the average viewer, and group shows are free once you register. The interface also struck me as very user-friendly. Along the top banner are options to separate by gender or by couples, and on the left-hand side, there’s a drop down bar where you can filter models by different, more specific categories, ranging from language spoken to penis size.
Those filtering details from the front page are a huge feature to this site. You can search based on gender, but also by body type, penis size, breast size, ethnicity, language spoken, hair color, and butt size. In addition, you can filter by region or hashtags (both recommended ones and those you search for yourself). Popular hashtags range from #analplay to #chatting, letting viewers filter for exactly what they’re looking for. If there’s a particular model you enjoyed and would love to see again, there’s also the option to search for them by name.
A unique feature of Bonga Cams is the “Spy Chat,” designed specifically for naughty little voyeurs. For fifteen tokens per minute, you can watch a private chat and read all the conversations, but can’t communicate with the models or other members. To enter the spy chat, there’s a handy button on the main page that lets you switch to viewing private chats any time you want.
A key free feature for premium members is the ability to share your video with models and other members. Participate in the sexy community vibes by letting other members check in on what you’re doing as you watch the cam models hard at work.
Bonga Cams offers a unique membership structure. To become a member, registration is free and immediately places you in the “regular” tier, where you can browse for cam models. Instead of upgrading to a yearly or monthly Premium fee, buying tokens immediately lands you premium status – even if tokens are only bought once and never again.
The token pricing is tiered, meaning you get steeper discounts the more tokens you buy at once:
36 tokens | $2.99 (or ~0.08/token) |
111 tokens | $7.99 (or ~0.07/token) |
285 tokens | $19.99 (or ~$0.07/token) |
506 tokens | $29.99 (or ~$0.06/token) |
897 tokens | $49.99 (or ~$0.06/token) |
1351 tokens | $74.99 (or ~$0.06/token) |
9000 tokens | $499.00 (or ~$0.06/token) |
17980 tokens | $990.00 (or ~$0.06/token) |
46382 tokens | $2,500.00 (or ~$0.05/token) |
Purchasing tokens gives you a lot of freedom on Bonga Cams. You can pay to spend time with a cam model in a private show for sixty tokens per minute (just under $6); a five-minute private show costs $30, for reference. Tokens also allow you to spy on a private show as a voyeur, send the model tips, initiate group shows, and join existing ones for half the price of private shows.
As a premium member, you’re able to share your webcam with other models or viewers for free, no matter how many tokens you’re spending.
The models at Bonga Cams are paid some of the best rates in the industry, meaning they receive about 50% of all earnings from their chats. This helps viewers both feel good that the models are being treated well and ensures that they’re spending time with more professional, high quality models. The filters also help viewers tailor their experience to their specific fantasies.
I’m also a big fan of the Spy Cam option, since viewers have a voyeuristic way to join in on the private fun at a lower price.
As much as this site takes care of its models, the way it handles *trans models is questionable; the language for their filter was pretty out of touch, and it shows in how few trans* cammers were available – under forty. I’m guessing they take their work elsewhere.
Also, since this site is most popular in Europe for cammers and viewers alike, it’s worth noting that it’s not very racially diverse. It’s also not the place to go if you’re looking for men (there are only 140) or couples (there are under sixty).
Another con? Bonga Cams may say it’s free at the base level, but get ready for countless ads. Seriously. After being on the site for no more than ten minutes, I dealt with multiple popups urging me to register. From there, it gets no better, and you’re bombarded with ads for purchasing tokens to become a premium member – where you continue to get asked to buy more tokens.
This is a great place to go if you’re looking for women who cam, and the voyeur option is a fun way to save some money and enjoy the titillating aspects of private shows without paying to participate. However, if you want some queer, male, or couples models, you may be better off putting your money into a different cam site altogether. Regardless, get prepared for ads. A lot of them.
4 out of 5 stars.
